Jay Galván Heneghan 

Jay’s experience in project and healthcare management for both for-profit and not-for-profit healthcare agencies lends to the value she brings as a consultant to our client agencies as they navigate the process of choosing, then implementing, and finally maximizing their use of EMR-Bear. In addition to her role as CEO, Jay is dedicated to her role as a mentor to other women and people of color in the technology industry.

Andres Paglayan

As EMR-Bear’s designer and software architect, Andres is a professional information technology manager who has logged more than 25 years in the US healthcare industry since relocating to this country from Argentina. He was an early developer of OpenEMR, the most-used open source electronic medical records in use today.

James Heneghan, MD

Dr. Heneghan is trained in both adult and child psychiatry, and specializes in systems of care. In 2004, Jim formed a private practice with a strong focus on providing services to underserved, rural communities through the use of telemedicine. The need for a comprehensive, cloud-based EHR specific to behavioral health was the impetus for the development of EMR-Bear.

Jessica L Guzmán

Jessica is our EMR-Bear support specialist and especially for billing. She is our first point of contact for our clients to help them improve their workflow. She also helps with trainings to prepare our clients on how to use EMR-Bear for first time users and also helps our existing clients to know about new functions in our system. She has used EMR-Bear since 2009

Tina Serna

Tina comes to our team with deep experience in using EMR-Bear’s features to their greatest potential. Her expertise in project management and quality assurance for behavioral health organizations makes her a valuable resource for our clients as they use our system to maximize the efficiency, compliance and quality of their services.

Jeremiah Boyer

Jeremiah brings a powerful blend of healthcare and IT experience to his work in end-user support for EMR-Bear. His degrees in science led him first to a position as a medical assistant for a multi-specialty medical practice, then later into IT services for non profit, biotech and hardware organizations. His patient and positive demeanor round out the qualities that make him such an asset to our client support team.

Leona Locklear

Leona brings a rich background in engineering, computer science and healthcare revenue management to her work at EMR-Bear. Her experience working with Tribal health services is put to great use for our client agencies serving native peoples.

Tyra Portis

Tyra brings years of experience in customer service, as well as her experience as an EMR-Bear intake, medical records and billing end-user, to her work on our billing services team.
